The Ministry of Health and Wellness has advised that there are amendments to the scheduled closure of pharmacies operating under the aegis of the Barbados Drug Service (BDS).
The closures, which facilitate the BDS’ yearly stocktaking exercise, will now extend until March 9. The list is as follows:
| February 20 | Randal Phillips Polyclinic Pharmacy |
| February 23 | Branford Taitt Polyclinic Pharmacy |
| February 24 | Psychiatric Hospital Pharmacy |
| February 26 | St. Philip District Hospital Pharmacy |
| February 27 | Eunice Gibson Polyclinic Pharmacy |
| March 2 & 3 | Winston Scott Polyclinic Pharmacy |
| March 4 | Geriatric Hospital Pharmacy |
| March 5 | Maurice Byer Polyclinic Pharmacy |
| March 6 | Ladymeade Reference Unit Pharmacy |
| March 9 | St. Philip Polyclinic Pharmacy |
Members of the public should note that the Maurice Byer Polyclinic Pharmacy, previously scheduled to close on Friday, February 13 (a public holiday), will now close on Thursday, March 5.
Additionally, the closure of the Ladymeade Reference Unit will now take place on Friday, March 6, instead of tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, to allow for the completion of the work towards the transition to MedData.
And, the St. Philip Polyclinic Pharmacy’s closure has been rescheduled from Wednesday, February 25, to Monday, March 9.
These closures will not affect any other polyclinic services. Provision will be made to handle any emergency pharmaceutical requests during the stocktaking exercise. Members of the public are urged to arrange their business accordingly.
