The island’s polyclinics will showcase and distribute nutrition information during Nutrition Month, March 1 to 31.
This year’s theme is “Unpacking the Economics of Healthy Diets and Sustainable Agriculture”. The goal is to empower communities to manage their health through the use of sustainable nutrition practices.
Members of the public will benefit from the activities scheduled below.
- Tuesday, March 11 – St. Philip Polyclinic – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Nutrition display and literature distribution.
- March 12, 19 & 26 – Maurice Byer Polyclinic – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Presentation on Healthy Eating on a Budget.
- Thursday, March 13 – David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Nutrition display and literature distribution.
- March 24 – 28 – Winston Scott Polyclinic – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Nutrition display and literature distribution.
The National Nutrition Centre will also host a nutrition conference examining the cost of eating healthily, on March 19, at the Radisson Aquatica Resort, Aquatic Gap, St. Michael.
