Fogging Heads To Christ Church Next Week

Several districts in Christ Church will be fogged by the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Vector Control Unit next week, as part of its mosquito reduction efforts.

On Monday, June 29, the team from the Unit will visit Pegwell Park, Pegwell Gardens 1 to 6, Pegwell Bogs to the junction of Gibbons Bog Link Road, Waverley, Atkins Land, Grand View, the Abbey; Keiser Hill, Southways, Enterprise Road inclusive of Keiser Hill Development, Lower Carters Gap, Enterprise A and B, Upper Carters Gap and environs.

The next day, Tuesday, June 30, they will spray Scarborough, Church Hill Development, Thornbury Tenantry Road, 2nd Avenue Thornbury Hill, Thornbury Link Road, 1st Avenue Thornbury Hill, 1st to 7th Avenue Gibbons, Gibbons Terrace 1 to 4, Rollins Road 1 and 2 to St. Christopher’s Road, Goodland Development, Goodland Gardens #1 to #11, Goodland Land, Bournes Land, Bournes Land #3 and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, July 1, the Unit will concentrate its efforts in Durants Road #1, Durants Terrace, Lloyd Wilson Development, Lloyd Court, Durants Terrace West #8 and #9, Callenders Park, Callenders Crescent, Durants Terrace #2, Callender Gardens, Callenders Court; Lisbonville Road #1 to 3, St. Christopher Tenantry Road, Upper Bournes Land #2, Bournes Land #1 and 2, Breedy’s, Hopewell/Round Rock Road, Breedy’s Land #1 to 3, and environs.

The team will go into Ealing Park, Ealing Grove, Inch Marlow #1 to 5, Ocean Spray Development, Seaview Road #1, Chancery Lane Main Road, Old Chancery Lane, Upper Chancery Lane #2; Parish Land, Flint Stone Drive, Coral Stone Drive, Cobble Stone Drive, Providence to the junction of Wilcox and neighbouring districts, on Thursday, July 2.

The fogging exercise for the week will conclude on Friday, July 3, in Chancery Lane North, Chancery Lane 1 to 5, Wilcox/Chancery Lane Road, inclusive of Wilcox Ridge, Holborn Terrace #2, Holborn #4, Fairy Valley Tenantry, 1st Avenue Thyme Bottom, Thyme Bottom, Pilgrim Place, Pilgrim Place A and B, Coverley Terrace, Coverley Tenantry and environs.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the spray.

Members of the public are asked to note that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to the affected communities as soon as possible.
