The Ministry of Health and Wellness will concentrate its fogging programme in St. Peter, St. Lucy and St. Michael communities next week.
The Vector Control Unit will carry out its fogging exercise in St. Peter for the first three days of the week, before visiting areas in St. Lucy and St. Michael.
On Monday, March 9, the following districts in St. Peter will be fogged: The Whim, Bailey Road, Denny Road, Goodridge Road, Clarke’s Road, Corbin Road, Greaves Road, Reservoir Road, Millionaire Road, Ashton Hall, Olton Road, Tom Bend Road, Church Hill Road Nos.1 and 2, Coleridge & Parry School Road and Douglas Development.
The next day, Tuesday, March 10, the Unit will spray Golden Mile with Avenues, Heywoods Park, South Drive, East Drive, North Drive with Avenues, Heywoods Estate, Caribbean Drive, King Fish Close, Marlin Drive, Dolphin Close, Snapper Close, Maynard’s Retreat Road, Maynard’s Tenantry, Maynard’s Development, Convent Drive, Valley View, Sunset Heights, Coral Cliff, and environs.
On Wednesday, March 11, it will be the turn of Pleasant Hall, Ben Hill Woods, Apple Grove, Ben Hill, Rose Hill, Mile-and-a-Quarter, Maynard’s Road, Skeete’s Road, Maynard’s Housing Area, William Circle, Leslie Gardens, Carpenter’s Circle, Willaway Close, Mount Brevitor Development, French Village, and neighbouring districts.
The team will focus on districts in St. Lucy on Thursday, March 12. They include Alleyndale (along the Highway), Gilkes Road, Bentham’s, Bourbon Tenantry, Trents, Hannays, and surrounding areas.
Fogging for the week will conclude on Friday, March 13, in St. Michael in Quarry Road, Kew Road, Industry Road, Military Road, Parade Road, Review Road, Alleyne Land 1st to 4th Avenues, Accommodation Road, Ocean View Road, Perfection Road, Promenade Road, Olivies Gap, Palm Road, Niles Road, Roxy Avenue, Water Hall Land with Avenues, and environs.
Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.
The public is advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
