Response To Nation News Article, August 25: “Upset Over Polyclinic’s Late Start”
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. the Most Honorable Kenneth George, has expressed his sincere apology to the public for the inconvenience caused by the late opening of the David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex during the week of August 18. The issue was reported in the Nation Newspaper yesterday, Monday, August 25.
Dr. George confirmed that there were indeed some instances of late openings of the clinic during that week due to operational issues. However, these issues have since been resolved and the clinic is now operating within the expected hours as stipulated by the Government.
The CMO assures the public that the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue to monitor the situation as they aim to provide the highest level of care possible for the citizens of St. John.
