National Task Force On Wellness’ First Hike For 2023

The National Task Force on Wellness invites members of the public to its wellness hike on Sunday, January 22, starting at the Gall Hill Playing Field, St John, at 6:00 a.m.

The hike, which is free, should be no more than 10 kilometres and will pass locations such as Verdun, Pool Plantation, Malvern Great House, Hackleton’s Cliff, and Clifton Hall Great House.  It will culminate at the Gall Hill Playing Field.

Participants are advised to arrive by 5:45 a.m. to receive their ID wrist bands and any pre-hike announcements.

The terrain will be on and off-road with very few slopes and will require some endurance. Persons who plan to join the hike are advised to bring sufficient drinking water and healthy snacks to stay hydrated and energised.

Hikers are also advised to wear suitable clothing to prevent sunburn and scratches from twigs. Appropriate enclosed shoes that will not cause slipping should also be worn.
