Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Available At All Polyclinics

The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MHW) has advised that the seasonal influenza vaccine is now available at all polyclinics island-wide.  

The public is encouraged to take advantage of this important preventative measure to protect themselves and their loved ones during the flu season.

The vaccine is particularly recommended for:

• Healthcare and frontline workers who are at greater risk of exposure
• Individuals with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes or hypertension
• The elderly aged 65 and older
• Pregnant women

The Ministry emphasises the many benefits of receiving the influenza vaccine.  It provides essential protection against the influenza virus, reduces the risk of severe illness, hospitalisation, or death, and minimises disruptions to daily life, such as missed workdays due to illness.

Members of the public are reminded to bring their identification card when visiting their nearest polyclinic to receive the vaccine.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness remains committed to ensuring the health and well-being of all citizens and encourages everyone to play their part in preventing the spread of seasonal influenza.
