Sections Of Christ Church, St Andrew & St Thomas To Be Fogged

The Ministry of Health and Wellness will conduct its Fogging Programme in the parishes of Christ Church, St Andrew and St Thomas, beginning next week.

On Monday, June 22, the Vector Control Unit will visit the Christ Church communities of Enterprise Coast Road starting at the corner of Light House Drive to the junction of St. Christopher, inclusive of Sea Breeze Drive, Bow Bell Avenue, Sunrise Street, Ocean Mist Drive, Seaside Drive, Sea Breeze Avenue, Upper Enterprise Garden, Green Gardens, Landsdown #1 and #2 and environs.

The following day, Tuesday, June 23, the Unit will continue operations in Christ Church, this time at Enterprise Coast Road, starting at the Corner of Lighthouse Drive to the corner of Enterprise Drive inclusive of Sea Rock Road, Joe Louis Boulevard, Coral Lane, Aurora Drive Springs Terrace, Atlantic Shores, Pearl Drive, Sea Side Drive and the environs.

On Wednesday, June 24, it will be the turn of districts in St. Andrew, namely Harewood Road, Mount Hillaby, White Hall Tenantry and the environs.  

Districts in St Thomas will be visited on Thursday, June 25 with Vaucluse Valley View Development, Lion Castle Tenantry, Dukes Tenantry and the environs scheduled for fogging.

Spraying for the week concludes when the Vector Control Unit returns to St Thomas on Friday, June 26 to spray Edge Hill Terrace, Edge Hill Heights, Melrose #1 and #2 and the environs.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.           

The completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond The Ministry’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to the affected communities as soon as possible.
